Kambree's Big Sledding Day

Kambree's day was as equally as exciting as Dominick's! She and Tyler's little brother Matthew hung out most of the time on the tube together - the best seat in the house!

They were stuck for most of it, so they stayed there against their will!!

She was also stuck in this position quite a bit too!

She was happy not matter what was happening!

But most especially when she figured out how delicious snow is!!!

Dominick's Big Sledding Day

We finally did get some great snow here! Dominick was thrilled to have a snow day, not because he couldn't go to school, but because he would finally be able to go sledding! He has read about it in books, and seen it on t.v., but this was the first real experience of his own - and he LOVED it!

We went to the park with our friends the Gammetts, and while Tyler was making snow angels, Dominick decided to feast on the snow instead.

This is Dominick's new sled - it was the only one I could find all over the city. So, it might not be the best, but I considered it better than the plastic bag I would have used!

Dominick and Tyler went exploring in the "woods" to find all sorts of treasures.

The best part was that Dominick and Kambree were able to ride together without me! Kambree, despite going really fast was so excited and kept wanting more and more.

Valentines and Cold Cold Weather

Happy Valentines Day!! Dominick was uncharacteristically excited about making valentines, and got a little silly as well.

This was so cute! The long story short, Dominick met a new friend from church while at his friends house - she is the younger (one year almost to the day) sister of one of his church mates, but they instantly clicked! I felt like I was watching Dominick and Chloe. Anyway, he and Ellie had so much fun together over there, that we invited her over to our house for a playdate. Dominick was so excited for her to come over and play, that he set the table for her with a table clothe and everything!! It was so funny, because for an hour before she arrived, he wouldn't let Kambree touch a thing in his bedroom because it was all for Ellie!! She came, and they had so much fun together again. I am so happy when I see Dominick finding friends, and when he is so happy.

It warmed up a little bit (still below 20 degrees) but Dominick was dying to come out back and watch the ice break in the river and go down the waterfall. It was fun, but freezing!!

This is what we get to do on cold winter days! Dominick loves to wake up and open up our single pane window, because there is always a huge block of condensation to play with. Usually, he just cleans it with towels, but today he decided to write his name. All I care about is keeping him entertained! Oh, and outside you will notice that we did get a "nor-easter" as they call the storms, but even thought it is not even deep enough to cover my shoes, we were out of school for the day :(

My little star! Kambree has been very excited that Dominick wants to color lately. She gets to go crazy with the crayons, but most importantly the stickers. They are her favorite thing to play with, and if you could see me, I'm covered in them too - thanks to yours truly!

Is This As Good As It Gets?

Seriously, is this the most snow we will get this winter? I decided last Saturday, that even though its just a skiff, we have to get some use out of these snow clothes and boots - and fast, because the sun was out and it was melting as we were getting dressed!

It was cold enough to freeze our little rake, because as soon as Dominick hit the pavement with it, two prongs cracked right off!

She was quite excited about this white stuff, but not that excited about the problems these snow clothes (or marshmallow clothes in her case) we posing for her. I wish I could post the video of her trying to get herself up in these things - I couldn't stop laughing!

Sweet little Dominick has been wishing for snow since his birthday last June! He was excited, but also upset I wouldn't let him ski down the icy driveway in his boots (that he swore he couldn't fall in, because they have pokies on the bottom)!

After breaking the two prongs off the rake, Dominick shows off his pirate face as he becomes Captain Hook for the day!
