One Last Time

End of the day, and she is tired!

Baby Dane - Dominick and Kambree love it when I say we get to see him.

Can't you feel the love!

Learning all about the ocean life, or at least making sure no other little kid can.

Yes, this was the last day to use our membership to the Maritime Aquarium. Dominick will be upset, but we won't tell him - hopefully he won't ask! We went with our friends Ashley and her baby, Dane. Dominick was so excited he could hardly contain it, literally. It took two sever time-outs to get him to calm down. We all had a really fun time, and I will miss going up there with him. He loves the ocean so much. The nice thing, is that now we can get into the Museum of Natural History for free, so I will have to get brave and take the kids to the city more often.

The New Kitchen

This was one of the most exciting days in a very long time. This gigantic box arrived just before we walked out the door to pre-school. Dominick was so upset and made me promise to wait for him to buid it - so I did. This must have been exactly what he wanted when he saw the big box, because frankly, he didn't help me at all!

This is the very coolest part of the whole thing - the "hot chocolate pot"!! Yep, it is magic. It can hold his attention for a really long time considering nothing is actually coming out. All day long he is making hot chocolate for me and Kambree, and is even nice enough to blow on it for Kambree so it won't burn her tongue. I guess in the summer we will just have to turn it into a chocolate milk pot.

Kambree loves to wear the chef hat, and is so darn cute in it. She was showing Dad all of the possible places to put her little doggy in the new kitchen.

Again, so amazing!

The grill is her favorite place to cook up her doggie. It makes fire sounds and flames, and she just loves to watch him burn!

Christmas at Grandma Cowan's 1/3

Uncle Andrew gave Dominick two sweet guns for Christmas, and he is now able to play cowboys. He loves the guns so much still, but it has been a bit hard finding a friend out here who loves them as much as he does.
The cutes little trio ever!
Grandma and Grandpa Cowan's family and us braved the cold to visit Utah's Hogle Zoo. We had so much fun, but Kambree looks a bit scared of the Gorilla.
Like father, like son. Grandpa and Dad were able to last for about five minutes playing with Dominick. Obviously he didn't join in their activity with them.
Dominick and his favorite uncle Jordan at Hogle Zoo. We waited all day just to see the elephants come out and eat some of their Christmas tree.

Christmas at the Cowan's 2/3

Christmas wouldn't be complete withhout playing in at least one of the boxes. He found styrofome to be a quite exciting toy - car, plane, train, boat, whatever you and he can imagine!

Daddy is really excited about giving Kambree her bath. I always hate it when we have to wash out her sweet hair though.

Dominick was so excited about his awesome book about Sharks. Aunt Deedee gave it to him, and it is still a favorite.

Kambree and Dominick both got a new pair of Cars jammies. They were both so excited to see them, the promptly put them on. Kambree is Sally, and Dominick is Lightning McQueen - of course!

Christmas at Grandma Cowan's

This should be the third set in a three post series to show the pictures from Christmas again. There are so many great ones, I couldn't narrow it down anymore.
Anyway, Dominick was so great with his new cousin Isis. She is so beautiful, and Dominick got sucked right in. He loves her so much, he still talks about her.

THis is the classic first picture on Christmas morning photo. She was in such a daze, and didn't really act excited for a while.

Dominick wasted no time getting all of his gifts unwrapped. He was so excited about the unwrapping, he helped everyone.

This was Dominick's first picture of Christmas day. Oddly enouph, we all had to wait for Dominick to wake up. He was the last one up, but was excited strait away. We had such a wonderful Christmas and Holiday vacation with all of our family. We all miss them so much, and are so grateful for the time we got with them.

Super Girl

Kambree loves to play super-hero just as much as Dominick.

This is the pair of them in a "pirate ship" ready to blow me away with their cannons!

The next big adventure for the baby stroller...

Here she comes to save the day, if she can grab you with those stubby arms!

She climbed up and tried to jump off the way that Dominick did - didn't end as well for her unfortunately.

Christmas at home 2006

This was Kambree's first experience with a bottle. She ignored it completely at first, but when shown that the baby gets the bottle, she furiously tried to drink some too.
Warning - DON'T GET FLOAM!! I was so excited to get this for Dominick, and had good recommendations. You can see for yourself the result. Maybey we will give it a shot in a year or two, but most likely not.
Here are her two precious babies. She is so cute with them, and the funny thing is, that Dominick jumped right in pretending too. He likes the boy baby (Dane - was the name he calls him) and says that Kambree needs to watch him to learn how to walk to baby. That is his cunning way of taking the stroller from her.
They were both excited about a couple new balls!
And the big one! Dominick is still our train guy! He has loved them for years, and the passion grows stronger still. We are going to be forced to move purely to house the many train sets!

Christmas at Grandma Roundys 2006

Christmas day at Grandma Roundy's house found Andrews gifts left out for us to play with! Kambree thought his boarding boots were sweet until she couldn't move. I thought that was the sweet part!

Dominick actually decided that this was his motorcycle helmet - we've never taken him to the slopes! He was pretending to drive a motorcycle all over the house!

Kambree was sharing her new Book of Mormon with Grandpa Roundy. There is still a cute little love connection between them!

Dominick also came to Grandpa for some pointers on his favorite gift of the season - a gun! His uncle Andrew thought it appropriate to send him back to his home with something to really bug the neighbors. Luckily, he can only shoot it outside so there are no complaints so far. He loves the guns so much, and now keeps hounding Dad about taking him to shoot some birds too (see following blogs).

She is so cute. I was so excited to put her cute Christmas clips in her hair. Grandma Roundy made special holiday clips for all the grand-daughters and they turned out so cute in her hair. She had such a fun Christmas, and was so excited to receive her Book of Mormon and baby.

Aaron and I were so spoiled. My parents gave us a web cam, and it is so much fun to see everyone real time. We loved everything, and most especially to be there with everyone.

Back to normal?

Kambree was excited to get her dragon towel back and she was most excited about scaring Dominick with it.

I have to be careful what name I call Dominick - obviously here he is Spiderman, but he could quickly become Captain Jack Sparrow, or Superman. He is really into pretend/dress-up right now, and it is so funny to listen to him and watch him.

Little darling.

I really can't get enough of that face!

Believe it or not, this was a dance move. Between Jordan teaching him rap lyrics, and the "dance" class/.birthday party he went to Dominick has become quite to music lover.

I am not sure what normal is, but we are at least back home. We have been home actually for a couple weeks now, but I have been tied up with our little sickly daughter since then. She is just now coming down from her cold and ear infections, so I will take this break to update our blog. Since we have been back, we have seen everything from 70 degree days at the beech to 30 degree days where we can't feel our ears outside. The craziness of the weather has thrown the preschool kids a real curve ball, seeing as they have been talking about snowballs, hibernation and ice skating. Dominick was a little frustrated too, that I wouldn't let him take his leopard shark to school to hibernate in their cave. He didn't want to take a bear, it was his shark or a dinosaur. Nothing was the option he chose.

I am so happy to report that Dominick has made so many improvements with his speech over the break. I am so grateful for all of our family in Utah helping to build his confidence and working with him. He starts speech therapy in one week, and we know he will progress quickly with her as well. It is quite interesting though, as I do tongue exercises with him (yes, there are actual strength training manuals written just for our tongues!) at just how weak a tongue can be. I am baffled at how this happened, but know he will work hard and strengthen that little tongue of his right up.

Kambree, despite being so sick is just my little doll. She loves babies, doggies and daddy. These are her favorite words, because she doesn't actually love her Dad to hold her, just to say his name, and mostly to say "bye bye daddy." She is saying lots of words, and her attitude just grows with her vocabulary. She was so excited in Utah to have Bently there. Bently is the new puppy that Aaron's family just got. By the end, she would go and pet his back all by herself. She still preferred him most when he was locked in his cage.

Aaron has one week left at the FASB. I am so excited for him to be done, because we need more money! He has loved the FASB, but is excited for PwC again. We had so much fun in Utah, and are so grateful that we were able to see everyone.

I will next go backward and find all the Christmas photos and post them up so you all can see!
