Copy-Kat

This was so funny to me. Dominick had cleverly come up with a pocket in his shirt to carry his gun while he wasn't using it. Kambree was so impressed that she also came up with a pocket in her shirt for her sippy cup. Aren't kids creative!

Happiest at the Beach

These are just a few pictures from last Sunday at our local beach. Ever since we moved here it has been our "safe spot" where we can be totally free and happy - we love it!
Her new favorite thing is jumping up and down - all the time!
I just love moments like this!

Finally - Apples!

I think it is obvious from Dominick's expression that we were excited to pick apples finally. We could not have picked a nicer day either. We went with our good friends the Thomas' and had a blast. Afterwards, I asked Dominick what he wanted to make and his response: "you know, those apples on a stick with the chocolate stuff." Close enough - we made caramel apples the next day and they were delicious! I also made my apple pie that was even better with those huge orchard apples - I can't wait to go back to the orchard to get our pumpkins!
Kambree getting in on the picking too!
Enjoying the spoils!

Cosmetic Surgery

What more can this child's mouth go through? I tell ya! We were feeling good about waiting for a couple of years to have the surgery done on the piece of her lip connecting the gums and lip - but Kambree decided to get it now.

As I was cleaning the car I heard Kambree crying and saw that she had somehow gone face first over her little (and I mean tiny) bike. I didn't think it was possible for her to be hurt that bad, so when I got to her and found her mouth full of and dripping blood I was a little nervous. After wiping off her lips and chin, my first thought was her teeth (again). I had her bite down on the rag to see if it was painful because blood was still coming out so fast that I couldn't see anything. She didn't scream any harder when she did that, so not believing that it was possible, but needing to check I lifted up her top lip and ewe gross! The piece of lip had ripped all the way down. She had bitten through her bottom lip and top lip, so the dental hygienist said to wait for any appointments. Hopefully is will heal correctly and we won't have to worry about surgery at all (one of those blessing in a weird way)!

Introducing "Dolly"

Aunt Deedee sent Kambree this adorable little noise making puppy for her birthday, and Kambree was freaking out. I told her that she needed to name her puppy and she chose "Dolly." So, Dolly is now a part of our family, and was well taken care of for at least two days. Now, she sits comfortably in Kambree's arms or on her pillow - wagging her tail and barking! Thanks Deedee!

"Let's Go Red Bulls"

Dominick participated in MLS soccer camp this summer, and for their graduation gifts we got tickets to a Red Bulls game. This was the first game that we have taken the kids to and we had a blast! A young boys soccer team sat behind us and helped Dominick and Kambree learn the chants and make confetti. It was so much fun that both of them still say the chants at home and Dominick wants to play soccer all the time (I think that itself is worth season tickets next year)!!
