C & S Aviation, Co.

Hey! No fat jokes...it's just the angle of the picture. Besides you should be focusing on the jet!

Dominick was disappointed with the jet's top speed of mach 2.3. He fully expected at least mach 3 given the high amount of carbon and light metal composite parts we used.

A congratulatory kiss made things all better.

Dominick proudly displays my blue jet and his red jet (it might have been the other way around though, it's hard to tell since we are both so talented...somewhere in the neighborhood of Davinci or Michelangelo).

A close up view of some schematics you will likely see in the Smithsonian in a special exhibit based on the greatest father son aviation teams of all time (including other galaxies).

The boys got into a little aviation over the weekend a few weeks ago. It started out with a conversation about a pending flight on JetBlue, which morphed into a drawing contest that saw the advent of JetRed and Dominick drawing his first jet. That wasn't enough to quash the flying flame that was burning so we turned to three dimensional contruction with the help of a K'Nex set. As you can see from the pictures, we ended the day with complex aerodynamics and propulsion via rocket science. I know, it's not easy to keep the attention of ADD geniuses, but it does result in funny days.

The Racing Fan

Dominick and "Mack" are organizing our food storage. I am still not sure where they stored it, but I'm sure I will find it eventually.

Kambree has become the biggest racing fan in the family. She loves "Cars" as much as Dominick and is constantly fighting him for his "Lightning McQueen" car. The other morning she was pulling all of the clothes out of Dominick's dresser and her eyes lit up when she saw "Lightning McQueen" on his shirt. She grabbed it and screamed at me to put it on. She was so funny and cute - looking at herself in the mirror. She loved it so much that she kept it on all day. Dominick was a little angry, but I let him wear one of Dad's shirts - I have to be fair!

Bowl Cut

I did such a good job on Aaron's hair cut that he
suggested that I go to beauty school! I hope
bowl cuts are still in style.

Story Time

The sweetest moments!

It melts my heart to see this. A few days ago, Kambree started to take her books, and sit on Dominick's lap. He didn't miss a beat - he just starts right in reading to her. It is the cutest thing. She only sticks around for a couple of minutes, but still priceless!

Christmas Crowds

There, now we have seen the Rockefeller Tree in person.

The Christmas cheer written on our faces is explainable.

Today we took the kids on what I anticipated to be an exciting catapult into an awesome Christmas season. It was a really beautiful day, and we planned to go into NYC. The agenda was fairly flexible, we just wanted to relax and enjoy the sights. What I didn't plan on, was the fact that at least 9 million other people had the same plans that we did - who knew?! We had gotten Dominick so excited about F.A.O. Schwarz, that, when we noticed the line around the block to get into the store we couldn't turn around - he had already been sucked in by the life size toy soldier and bigger than life "Manny". Luckily, feeling bad for parents with two strollers, the nice soldier let us in ahead of the line waiting (the use of strollers might sometimes be abused)! This was a mad house. I was completely shocked. I knew that there were going to be crowds, but you couldn't move - literally. After letting the kids play with everything in sight, we managed to escape. Unfortunately, the last thing that Kambree had her hands on was an adorable stuffed dog - and we all know her obsession with dogs. Needless to say, we heard about it for the next 3 to 4 blocks, as did the other 3 million people that we walked with. Next, we stopped in the Disney store so that I could feed Kambree, only she caught sight of beautiful princess stuff and proceeded to scream, again for a few more blocks. I had actually envisioned us leisurely strolling down 5th Avenue and stopping to admire the window displays - all while letting the kids walk, so that they would be happy. This is not how it turned out. After the Disney store, we both decided to hurry to Rockefeller Plaza to see the tree before we leave as fast as we can. This, will explain the grumpy (to say the least) look on my face in the photo. We hurried to take the pictures, and then finally escaped back to our little home (not surrounded by 9 million people). It is very festive down in the city, but I recommend going on a weekday, with no kids if you can possibly help it.

On a positive note, Dominick was awesome in the city. Usually, he is the last one to sit in a stroller, but I think that the sea of people around us was enough to even scare him into sitting the entire time. He also wanted us to tell Santa Clause that he wants a 12 foot tall "Manny" for Christmas this year, again because he doesn't feel comfortable sitting on his lap. I guess it is time for the letters to Santa to begin.
